Let’s talk the power of positivity and gratitude. A day or so ago I had a comment that really got to me. Usually I’m able to brush them off but I am human and sometimes I let that negativity creep back in. Being a positive person doesn’t mean you’re rainbows and butterflies 24/7. That shit would be impossible! Practicing positivity means you practice removing yourself from negativity when it shows up. I reacted and I let it just dwell in me for hours. Stewing inside me, making a nice storm of anger and negativity inside me: it felt like SHIT! I didn’t like it so I pulled myself out of it. I had to reason with myself, sort through my emotions and find the silver lining in the situation and then just block and walk away from it. Being positive is giving yourself the tools to pull yourself out of negative headspace because there will be times you get into a negative headspace. Positivity and gratitude practices have been a HUGE part of my journey. I was once a very glass half empty type chick and now I’m a glass half full type of gal. This doesn’t mean I’m perfect. This doesn’t mean I don’t have my moments. I started my positivity practices by naming three things I’m grateful for every morning and every evening. Gave myself compliments and gave myself ENCOURAGEMENT! It was a huge tool for my journey. Yes, I still have my moments y’all, I’m still very much so a human woman🤗 but the point is I consciously choose to pull myself out of the negative when it comes around. That’s a new thing for me: before it would be days of letting the negativity in. Now, go out into the world and be kind on purpose today!!! To others and yourselves🖤
