Every weight loss journey is different. My first WLJ, I lost 60 pounds in 9 weeks. My second WLJ, it took me almost 2 years to lose the same amount of weight.

This second time around was definitely much more difficult for me. I remember thinking to myself, “Shit. I know I lost the weight once but I don’t think I’m going to be able to do it this time around.” I legitimately felt hopeless BUT I just kept trying, kept going when I failed, and kept telling myself to work!

Some women have no trouble losing their baby weight and that is amazing! But there are a lot of women who gain a significant amount of weight and never ever lose it. “Baby weight” is still weight and for a lot of us, it never falls off.

My first WLJ I started at 260 pounds and met my final goal weight of 130. This WLJ I started at 220 pounds and am currently 150. I am not done yet and plan on losing another 15-20!

No matter where you’re at in your journey, just know you are capable. Whether that means losing weight, toning up, building muscle, prepping for a show, reaching non-scale victories, cutting out bad habits, or even just surviving day one…. you’re capable. And it feels like you’ll never get there but then one day you wake up and you’ve completely changed your life! Never give up!
