MANGO chronicles. So we bought a big lot of mangoes in a hope to make avakaya(mango pickle) again. But the mangoes had other plan ls for us. They were too ripen to be used in a pickle, so we headed to make this Andhra delicacy , Mamidikaya Pappu(mango dal, much nutritious than tarka/tadka dal).

Its a tangy and spicy dal that beats the taste of famous tadka dal in all angles. Mangoes are celebrated all over India in various forms. 🥭Its basically a celebration than just a fruit, for us! Sour, ripen, semi-ripen, we have various recipes that are unique to each household and each state across the country 🙂

Anyone needs a recipe? DM me.

We shall talk about eating carbs for weight loss in another post 😉

On my plate today
