I see a smaller body, yes, but I also see her pain. I see self-hatred. I see her suffering from an eating disorder. I see her extreme anxiety and fear of food. I see hours at the gym & sore knees. I see her heart racing as she steps on the scale every single day. I see disappointment with herself, her body, her efforts because it’s NEVER enough. I see her taking 6 laxatives at a time. I see her desire to be seen by shrinking herself. How bizarre is that?⁣⁠
Do I miss having a smaller body? Sure, sometimes. BUT what I don’t miss is everything that came with it.⁣⁠
